What is the Delicate cycle used for?
This gentler program is designed for lightly soiled, heat-sensitive or fragile dishware.
It typically reduces wash intensity or temperature to give glassware and delicate items more careful treatment.
Choose another cycle for: Heavy pots, baked-on food and items whose care label says hand wash only.
What this means for your load
The documentation lists 95–133 minutes. Your selected options and operating conditions can change the displayed estimate.
Published water use: 5.2 gal. This figure applies to the documented test conditions and may be a range when the appliance senses the load.
Why the time may change: Drying selections and incoming water temperature can affect both time and final results.

Estimated finish time
Estimated energy and local cost
This range is calculated from the documented cycle characteristics and appliance type. It is deliberately shown as a range because load conditions, temperature selections, sensors and options change consumption.
How this page was sourced
The timing and model-specific note above come from or summarize the linked LG LDF5545ST owner manual, Cycle/Option Guide, via LG support. The usage explanation adds practical context based on the cycle name and appliance type; it does not replace the model manual or an item's care label.
